On September 28, 2019, radiofolk.dk received an OOaward with the following reasons:

“radiofolk.dk should be celebrated because they have taken on a public service responsibility at a time when other public service providers have not given folk music the attention it deserves. They are widely embraced with a dedicated and solid music journalistic approach. By honoring the good work, we hope that there is potential for radiofolk.dk to embrace even more broadly and keep listeners updated on what is happening – and has happened – on the Danish folk music scene. By being present and “out in the field”, folk music is experienced up close – and that should be celebrated. The award is followed up by help with transport costs and the development of a SoMe presence, tailored to needs.”
