Thank you for that!<\/p>\n<p>An icy winter day in mid-February 2026 visited <em>Morten Alfred Hoirup<\/em> Channe Nussbaum on the interior <em>Osterbro<\/em>, where she has lived for many years with her family. Now the children have long since flown from the nest, and Channe and her boyfriend and colleague, clarinetist <em>Bjarke Kolerus<\/em>, lives alone in the big old mansion on the 3rd floor.<\/p>\n<p>Channe Nussbaum plays and <em>hair<\/em> has played in a lot of different bands during her long career. In some of them she has sung in Danish, and in others she has sung in Yiddish, a language that originated in Germany around the 9th century, which is described as a kind of mixture of German, Slavic and Hebrew, and which was spoken by millions of Jews in Eastern Europe for many centuries.<\/p>\n<p>Channe Nussbaum is often referred to as <em>Denmark&#039;s Klezmer Queen<\/em>, among other things because she sings in Yiddish and plays traditional as well as newly composed klezmer music in bands such as <em>Klezmer Trio<\/em> and <em>Klezmophobia<\/em>. The latter has just celebrated its 20th anniversary. Klezmer music is traditional Jewish music \u2013 originally from <em>Eastern Europe<\/em>.
