Basco &amp; Jullie Hjetland played, for example, at the large Norwegian folk and world music festival, <em>Forde Festival<\/em>, in the summer of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>This podcast is part of a series titled <em>\u00d8-Gold \u2013 Folk music in Denmark<\/em> which is about documenting and disseminating the islands&#039; folk music and the scene it is a part of.<\/p>\n<p>The music we hear in the podcast is played by Basco &amp; Jullie Hjetland, and the podcast is produced by <em>RadioFolk.dk<\/em> before <em>Media Garden<\/em>, and is supported by <em>The Islands Art Foundation<\/em>. Thank you for that!<\/p>\n<p>On a lovely late summer evening, Basco and Jullie Hjetland were to give an outdoor concert at the venue. <em>Harder<\/em> in the maritime city <em>Svendborg<\/em> in the south <em>Funen<\/em>. When they play together, the repertoire is a mix of very old and brand new Nordic songs and ballads, which they arrange together, and in the days surrounding the concert, the band \u2013 supported by <em>The Danish Arts Foundation<\/em> \u2013 challenged students from <em>Oure High School<\/em> and <em>Svendborg High School<\/em>\u2019&#039;s music lines in a program with lots of singing, music and chain dancing.
