In this edition of the podcast we will be featuring the band <em>Sylfide,<\/em> recorded at the famous Danish <em>Barrel Festival<\/em> that runs the last weekend of August every year.<\/p>\n<p>The songs of the young singer, songwriter and harp player, <em>Helene Tungelund<\/em>, might be rooted in Danish and Nordic traditions, but they are also very much relating to the world that we are living in right now. The singer herself put it this way:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFor me working with folk music and cultural heritage is an attempt to understand myself and the world that has shaped me, for better or for worse.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The songs that Helene Tungelund writes, are dealing with topics like <em>climate change<\/em>, <em>feminism,<\/em> spirit <em>mental health<\/em>.
